All South Celebrates Gonzales Civic Center Re-Opening

All South is excited to take part in the re-opening of the Gonzales Civic Center. Following the devastating effects of the August 2016 floods, All South became instrumental in preparing the civic center for its re-opening. Our project managers successfully coordinated the design through construction, while our grant managers worked diligently to secure FEMA/grant funding for this project. Much to the City’s delight, the civic center re-opened just in time for the annual Jambalaya Fest!

All South was also able to secure Hazard Mitigation funding for the City, and, in conjunction with City officials and the design team, implemented removable flood gates surrounding the Center for added protection.

Job well done to all those involved, and congratulations to the City of Gonzales on the re-opening!

Plans Underway for CPRA’s Brady Canal Hydrologic Restoration Maintenance Project (TE-0028)

All South has been awarded a Notice to Proceed on the Brady Canal Hydrologic Restoration Maintenance Project. The project involves engineering plans to restore the earthen embankment and repair several natural breaches within Jug Lake, Bayou Decade, and Carencro Bayou in Terrebonne Parish, LA.

Jug Lake is a vital part of CPRA’s previous TE-0028 project. Restoring segments of this project from natural erosive effects will help ensure TE-0028 remains a success!

All South Awarded Lake Lery Rim Restoration Project

All South is acting as lead coastal engineer and surveying consultant for the Lake Lery Marsh Creation and Rim Restoration project in St. Bernard Parish. The project will create 177 acres of vital marsh within Lake Lery, nourish an additional 209 acres, and develop a rock embankment along the northwestern sector of Lake Lery to improve shoreline protection.

The scope includes all coastal engineering, coastal wave modeling, and surveying services conforming to the latest CPRA Marsh Creation Design Guidelines.

All South is excited about the opportunity to continue helping St. Bernard and the State in their coastal restoration strategies and designs!
