Plans Underway for CPRA’s Brady Canal Hydrologic Restoration Maintenance Project (TE-0028)

All South has been awarded a Notice to Proceed on the Brady Canal Hydrologic Restoration Maintenance Project. The project involves engineering plans to restore the earthen embankment and repair several natural breaches within Jug Lake, Bayou Decade, and Carencro Bayou in Terrebonne Parish, LA.

Jug Lake is a vital part of CPRA’s previous TE-0028 project. Restoring segments of this project from natural erosive effects will help ensure TE-0028 remains a success!

All South Awarded Lake Lery Rim Restoration Project

All South is acting as lead coastal engineer and surveying consultant for the Lake Lery Marsh Creation and Rim Restoration project in St. Bernard Parish. The project will create 177 acres of vital marsh within Lake Lery, nourish an additional 209 acres, and develop a rock embankment along the northwestern sector of Lake Lery to improve shoreline protection.

The scope includes all coastal engineering, coastal wave modeling, and surveying services conforming to the latest CPRA Marsh Creation Design Guidelines.

All South is excited about the opportunity to continue helping St. Bernard and the State in their coastal restoration strategies and designs!

All South joins team designing Mid-Barataria Diversion Project

All South is proud to be part of the team selected to design the Mid-Barataria Diversion Project. All South will be providing engineering design, topographic and hydrographic surveying for the project. This project will reconnect the river to the Mid-Barataria Basin and divert sediment and fresh water to build new land, maintain existing marshes and increase habitat resiliency to sea level rise and storm events.

All South completes first project of the City of Kenner 2030 Plan under budget and ahead of schedule

All South completed the first project in the City of Kenner’s Kenner 2030 program when it extended the Erlanger Road walking path.

Civic and community leaders were on hand Thursday, November 17, 2016 to celebrate the project’s completion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The walking path is being met with rave reviews from locals in Kenner. “This is very well used by all of the residents around here,” Kenner City Councilman Keith Reynaud told The Times-Picayune. “They are always calling me and saying how nice it is… I’d like to say that this project came in on time, on task, and well below budget… and we hope to see many more of these in the future.”

Acting Mayor Mike Sigur said that the extension, “has already proven to be very popular… It has beautified that area and is also something that people of all ages—and their pets—are enjoying.”

All South Signs On With Town of Sorrento

The Town of Sorrento Council voted by unanimous decision to approve All South as the Town’s technical engineering firm.  All South is extremely excited to call the Town of Sorrento our client.    All South has already begun taking steps toward helping the Town grow, and we all are looking forward to a longstanding relationship together.  All South’s scope of work with the Town of Sorrento involves technical advising on Town development and infrastructure repairs and management.  All South’s unique blend of technical engineers and management staff will be a great fit with the Town of Sorrento, and we are excited to assist the Town with responsible, successful growth in the coming years.

All South Teams with St. John School Board to Benefit Local Storm Victims

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the citizens of St. John the Baptist Parish as they work through this tough recovery time.  All South joined the St. John School Board in a cookout to benefit the storm and tornado victims on Saturday, February 27th at the Emily C. Watkins School in Laplace, LA.  All South sponsored a full-service caterer serving over 750 jambalaya and fried fish meals.  Meals were available for pick up; hundreds were delivered to residents working on their houses.  The event was a huge success, and it was great to see such resilience from the community as the rebuilding process continues.

All South Awarded Port of New Orleans Project

All South Consulting Engineers was recently selected to provide Professional Engineering services for the cross connection control program of the water systems that service the Port. This project will include consulting services for the Fiscal years 2016-17.

All South Making Strides with St. John the Baptist Parish School Board

All South Consulting Engineers is providing Project Management for the new Lake Pontchartrain Elementary School which will be built on the site of the old facility.  The school received major damage caused by Hurricane Isaac.  Demolition of the old school was completed in September 2015, and construction of the new school will begin in January 2016 with an anticipated completion for the school year in 2018.

In addition to the new Lake Pontchartrain Elementary, All South is providing Project Management for the East. St. John Elementary School renovation. The school recently suffered significant damage due to fire in August.

All South Awarded the City of New Orleans Breakwater Drive Project

All South is currently working with the City of New Orleans to provide engineering design services for the FEMA funded rehabilitation to Breakwater Drive located along Lake Pontchartrain.   This project includes roadway and sidewalk repairs; a public boat launch area and breakwater retaining wall.
